Honest authorship

Pages are published under the Coffee Methods brand. We deliberately do not invent a fictional “master barista” or fake a named expert to look more authoritative. A real person's byline appears only when a real person stands behind the work; until then, the brand is the author.

How a guide is written

The brewing recipes are editorial starting points. We currently have no published CoffeeMethods physical brew-test records, laboratory measurements or original test photographs. A source check or software test is not a tasting experiment.

Priority guides identify the primary source, the relevant section and what it supports. Recipe adaptations and uncertainty are stated separately. Manufacturer process descriptions identify a process; they do not independently prove better flavour. Caffeine and storage guidance uses applicable public-health or food-safety sources.

Tools reuse the structured recipe parameters. Checks compare ratios with actual grams and the phase totals with the stated brew time. Text, timer targets and worked examples are reviewed together. FAQs should answer a reader decision and be visible on the page; structured data does not create evidence or guarantee search visibility.

Translations currently retain machine status. Revising a source date follows an actual content revision and does not mean a native speaker reviewed it. A human review, a named physical test and original media need their own verifiable records.

Health wording (YMYL)

Coffee is food and ritual here, not medicine. We keep caffeine and wellbeing claims non-medical and modest, and we point readers to a qualified clinician for any health question. See the disclosure for more.

Media disclosure

Current article covers are clearly labelled AI-assisted editorial illustrations — not documentary tasting photographs. Replacing the priority pages with original bean, brewer, and cup photography is an ongoing goal, and assisted media stays disclosed wherever it remains.

Dates and re-checks

Each page shows an updated date that reflects a genuine review or improvement, not a cosmetic touch to look fresh. When brewing guidance or facts change, we revise the page and move the date.

What we don't do

  • No invented experts, testimonials, or fake reviews.
  • No unsupported health claims.
  • No pay-for-placement. Any future affiliate links will be disclosed and never change the advice or the price you pay.

Questions about the approach? The about page covers why the site exists, and privacy covers how your journal data stays on your device.
