Coffee Methods

Coffee Methods does not have user accounts, payments, newsletters, or server-side journal storage. The tasting journal is stored in your own browser and is not sent to a Coffee Methods server.

On the production site, Coffee Methods uses Vercel Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use pages and tools, improve user experience, monitor performance, and keep the site stable.

These tools may collect technical information such as device type, browser, language, approximate location, visited pages, interaction events, referrers, and technical logs. Microsoft Clarity may collect heatmap and session replay data. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_*.

This data is used for analytics, security, performance, product quality, and reliability. It is not used to create Coffee Methods accounts, process payments, or run email marketing.

Journal exports and imports happen locally on your device when you choose to use them. Imported files are read in your browser for that action only.

Contact form submissions send the name, email address, message, and current page URL that you provide to the Coffee Methods contact Worker. Cloudflare Turnstile processes a verification token to protect the form from spam; the Worker processes the submission to check and reply. Please do not include sensitive personal information in the message.

Local-only features use these browser storage keys: coffeemethods:journal:v1, coffeemethods:theme, coffeemethods:privacy-notice-dismissed:v1, and coffeemethods:checklist:*. This data stays in your browser unless you choose to export a journal file.
