Use this after the dose is set. The timer follows the phase schedules from the brewing guides, so you do not have to translate "bloom, steep, press" into phone alarms.
Built-in phase schedules
| Preset | Ratio / temp | Timer phases | Total timer |
|---|---|---|---|
| V60 | 1:16, 94 °C | Bloom 30 s → Pour 1 45 s → Pour 2 65 s → Drawdown 30 s | 2:50 |
| Pour over | 1:16, 94 °C | Bloom 45 s → Pour 1 45 s → Pour 2 60 s → Drawdown 30 s | 3:00 |
| French press | 1:15, 93 °C | Bloom 30 s → Steep 3:30 → Press 30 s | 4:30 including press |
| AeroPress | 1:14, 88 °C | Pour & stir 10 s → Steep 60 s → Press 30 s | 1:40 |
| Moka pot | hot water fill | Heat 3:00 → Flow 1:00 → Remove heat 1:00 | 5:00 |
| Espresso | 1:2 yield, 93 °C | Pre-infuse 5 s → Shot 25 s | 0:30 |
If a cup tastes off, do not change every phase. Keep the dose steady, change one timer variable, then log the brew in your private journal.
How to adjust timing without guessing
| Problem | Timer change | Do not change yet |
|---|---|---|
| V60 finishes too fast | Slow pours or grind finer next brew | Ratio |
| French press tastes thin | Extend steep by 30 s | Dose |
| AeroPress tastes harsh | Shorten steep by 15 s | Press force |
| Moka pot sputters bitter | Remove from heat earlier | Basket fill |
Use the timer as a comparison tool: one schedule, one taste note, one change.
